Kitchen Tiles to Reflect your Personality

Kitchen Tiles to Reflect your Personality

Most people want their homes to reflect their own personalities and whether you’re a plain Jane or fierce and feisty, there are a number of different ways we try to customise our homes to inject elements of ourselves into them.

Over the years, there have been various studies on colour and the different emotions or experiences they evoke from us. Many of these emotions are very strong, yet very positive and understanding what some of these colours evoke could help you to choose kitchen tiles that capture a little bit of yourself perfectly – giving you a room you can be proud of.

Red

Red is often seen as a negative colour but when used correctly, the colour red can evoke feelings of warmth, passion and comfort. Red has also been known to reflect masculinity, perfect if you’re looking for a manly way to add colour to your kitchen. Choosing to use red kitchen tiles is a brave move but can look fantastically modern and incredibly intense, just like the emotions it induces.

Green

Green is a colour that is perfect for those who want to be or who are at one with nature! It so often symbolises the natural world due to its relationship with things in nature. It creates feelings of tranquillity, health and luck (think four leaf clovers) so if you love the idea of bringing calm and serenity to what is often a very busy room, then green should be your kitchen tile colour of choice!

Blue

Similarly to green, places that are blue are often seen as serene and calm. Blue also evokes a sense of order and logic, and has been linked to productivity. It is often seen as a ‘male’ colour, although it is not said to evoke feeling of masculinity. Nonetheless, there are so many different shades of blue kitchen tiles – subtitle for both men and women, so try a pastel shade for a calming effect or a more vibrant blue for feelings of clearness and order.

Yellow

Like red, yellow tends to evoke strong emotions and is often describe as cheery and warming. Yellow is often used in small does to create a sense of welcoming in the home, particularly when it comes to decorations such as flowers and lightshades. If you have a bright and cheery personality and you want to show it off, be sure to choose a punchy yellow kitchen tile. Yellow kitchen tiles are also great for alongside white tiles, if you don’t want to overpower your kitchen.
