product description
Not all ceramic materials are the same. For this reason, not all RUBI rollers are the same.
RUBI manufactures its wheels and rollers in tungsten carbide, whose main characteristic is its high resistance to friction wear. Most ceramic materials that have historically been used for surface coating have used smooth glazes and finishes with minimal roughness. With the appearance of non-slip materials or rustic stoneware (especially suitable for outdoors), the roughness of ceramics increased. To minimize the impact of this roughness on its wheels, RUBI designs the GOLD range.
Each roller is ground individually so that each diameter has an incision angle according to its function and use. Each roller diameter offers different results and performance, depending on the type of ceramic material for which they have been designed.
The recommended use of RUBI's GOLD wheels is for scratching glazed stoneware (BIIa / BIb), rustic or extruded stoneware (AIIa / AIb) and porcelain stoneware (BIa) with smooth and/or slightly rough finishes.
The GOLD range of wheels increases the resistance to natural wear of tungsten carbide, through a titanium coating. Thanks to this treatment, RUBI's GOLD rollers offer a longer life than SILVER rollers and rollers. This increase in life, under the same conditions of use as a SILVER rodel, this increase can be up to 50% more over the life of a SILVER rodel.
RUBI GOLD rollers use a handle with a triple grooved geometry (RUBI design and patent), which guarantees, at all times, correct mounting on the manual cutter, as well as firm fixation and firm scratching without vibrations. Forming the best combination to always obtain the best results.
