Make Sure you Apply Sealant

After your tiles have been laid and filled with grout, make sure you treat your tiles and grout with a waterproof sealant.  This protects the tiles from the water when it rains, or in damp areas in kitchens and bathrooms, which stops mould appearing and damp affecting the adhesive and structure of the tiles.

Use Warm Soapy Water When Cleaning Mosaic Tiles

Make sure that you give those mosaic tiles a proper wipe down using warm soapy water. Even if you have used tile friendly products you should always wipe afterwards, this ensures that no residual product is left that could damage or stain your tiling.

Clean the Grout Regularly to Avoid a Build-Up of Mould

Tile grouting can be a real magnet for dirt, damp and mould, so regular cleaning is always an absolute must. When it comes to mosaic tiling; their small individual tile size means that there is more grout, which means more scope for dampness and more chance of mould getting stuck in between those tight areas.

There are some really inexpensive, cheap products out there which help clean that mould, however using a sponge and a toothbrush should be enough to get into the grout joints to ensure they stay looking great.
